The porch shot

Family (and friends) photographs on the front porch became a yearly tradition that we've continued to this day. These photos, over time, really capture the moments of our lives. We encourage all our guests to continue on with this tradition, for their own family and Cape May experience.

The first taste

Homemade ice cream after a big lobster feast was a memorable ritual growing up. Back then it was a hand cranked machine. The adults pulled a Tom Sawyer and had the kids lined up to crank it out. That's Alix up front, and Bibbi and Henry Winsor behind her with the first taste.

We grew up vacationing in Cape May

We were fortunate to grow up experiencing summers in Cape May. It's a special place and we've found that families with kids connect to Cape May with many of the same joys and experiences we had. As we get older, the memories get better

As our generation became adults, the Cape May tradition grew to be a yearly summer event — family and friends getting together to share a special place, and everyone pitching in to make it a ton of fun. It's neat how we carried on the tradition of the porch shot. If you stay here, we encourage you to take your own porch photo and add your own creative twist. We'd love to see and share it!
