Ben & Bishop — I captured this photograph on a cold winter's day in Cape May Point in front of the St. Mary's by the Sea Nun Convent. 

Ben and his super cool Siberian husky Bishop, materialized from the horizon, so I positioned myself to capture the image as they approached the fence.

Ben was wrapped for the elements and Bishop, I would later learn, was simply in heaven. Just as happy as a dog can be who's built exactly for this kind of speed. What looks like blurry sand flying across the beach surface is exactly that thanks to the 50 mph winds. The light is natural from the setting sun wintry mix of long shadows and crisp skies that this time of year brings. 

All photographs we post to this site serve as reminder that Cape May has something special to offer every season, even in the cold winter months.
